One of the most important diagnostic and prognostic instruments for medical professionals is the hematological analysis.
Erythrocyte, leucocyte, and platelet parameter estimates are all part of routine hematology. Estimating erythrocyte parameters (RBC,
RDW, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV, MCH, and MCHC) is essential for diagnosing anemia and a number of other acute and long
term disorders. Correct blood collection techniques, appropriate anticoagulants, appropriate storage, and efficient blood transport
are all necessary for accurate and exact hematology findings. Age, sex, stress, food, bodily condition, level of hydration, and
reproductive status may all contribute to the individual reference value variation. If there are no artifacts in the sample, an automatic
hematology analyzer may provide fast and reliable findings. In conclusion, the instability and complexity of blood cells, as well as
the absence of a precise and quick comparison technique, hinder the accuracy of the results of automated hematology analyzers in
canine medicine. As a result, the results of the automated haemotolyzer should always be verified by further laboratory testing and
clinical observations.
